If you would be part of my family here, I find that acceptable.
[It is acceptable specifically because here is not there. Not the place he left behind, where he was bound by duty and responsibility, that was almost like home but not quite.]
Until that day comes, keep chasing after your own answer, Hakuno. After your own humanity.
[Someday soon, perhaps. It depends on how quickly her self-confidence can build, to the point where she can confidently say she's family to somebody, with all the soft, unsaid expectations that go alongside it. There's a wistful hope audible in her voice.
Then she shakes it off, with obvious effort.]
So, what else happened at the ball? Before or after the, uh, pact. Without too many sordid details, please.

[They both know Gilgamesh, of all people, has all the time in the world.]
Mm... it was quite an eventful evening, really. I danced with a few, wed a special someone, spent time with others, and then had a drink thrown in my face by a smug Archer in red. I wonder if there's some truth to us being an obstinate lot after all.
I'm not even going to ask what you did or said. You do all like to be emphatic, whatever course of action you take. The newest one here might not seem to be as ostentatious, but he's just as argumentative where it counts.
....shoot, this is confusing. Do you mean you, Oda, the red Archer, or the green one? Uh... new one. He's green enough now that I sent him a replacement cloak though.
Oh, Rin-san's red Archer. Yes, i've met him—here and back in the Moon Cell. He was nice; he helped me move some heavy crates after he ended up getting me wet.

He's a menace. I said keep away, so keep away. I will handle him.

[Gilgamesh is a menace. Oda is a menace. Zelos is—]
Really, I've put up with worse from men here then a polite offer to help me finish my job.

[That tone? That is the tone of a girl who has done multiple things she knows you would not approve of, all in short order.]

...at least don't do it where I can see it, you plucky mongrel.

[Now she feels like she should? Maybe? Tell him? Since he shared his adventures, sort of.]
There was... a guy at the ball. Like, I didn't know him, or tell him who I was, but.

Hakuno restarts the call
[She scrubs a hand over her face.]
Oh my god, no. I just... a kiss. I wanted to try doing it myself, instead of always being taken by surprised.
[Stop running away, damn you.]
Gilgamesh sharpens a bloody dagger in the background
[Because apparently it's fine for Gilgamesh to discuss his own, but not Hakuno.]
oh my god why
